DONATION MISSION "TYPHOON SENYANG CALAMITY"

ANGONO, RIZAL - DECEMBER 15, 2000

 

In 2000, the Philippines were devastated by "super typhoon"- Senyang. There were also massive floods and mudslides in the provinces.

This typhoon destroyed thousands of homes in many parts of the Philippines, including Angono, Rizal

 

Afternoon of December 15, 2000, CIWEST Foundation extended assistance to the most affected families of Angono caused by the typhoon gSENYANGh that badly hit the municipality. The following are the number of families in different barangays in Angono, Rizal:

•  Brgy. Kalayaan, Aguinaldo Street - temporary evacuated at National High School of Angono (54 families)

•  Brgy. San Vicente, Riverside - temporary evacuated under the Rizal State College (22 families)

•  Brgy. Kalayaan, Sitio Pinagpala - temporary evacuated at the gutter of Bay Town Street (16 families)

•  Brgy. San Isidro, Sitio Labahan - not evacuated but their houses and their Day Care Center are damaged (26 families)

 

CIWEST held the distribution of their donation to the constituents of Angono Municipality who were personally selected by CIWEST. CIWEST staff handled the distribution on that day. Mr. Takashi Miyamoto, Chairman of Central Japan High Intelligence System Cooperative Association (Formerly AHIS on that date) and CIWEST Executive Adviser, together with Mrs. Susan Santos-Miyamoto, Vice-President of CIWEST lead the distribution of the donation.
